Our organic Sea Moss has been Ethically gathered from the Caribbean Sea, St Lucia. It is a rich source of many vital nutrients and minerals.

Sea Moss, know scientifically as Chondrus crispus is a type of algae or seaweed, which is found on the Atlantic shores of North America, Europe, and the Caribbean Islands. It’s known as a red alga, although it often comes in many colours, most popularly yellow or gold and purple – but you can also find rarer colours such as blue and green.

Sea Moss has been used to treat a wide range of ailments such as: inflammation, digestive pain, excessive mucus build-up, various respiratory ailments, weight loss, hypothyroidism, and boosting the immune system.

Sea Moss is low in calories and fat, and it contains a small amount of protein. It offers a variety of vitamins and minerals and is a good source of iodine and antioxidants.

Sea Moss has been used for centuries, particularly in Ireland and the Caribbean. It’s rich in essential minerals, like iron and magnesium, as well as folate and omega-3.

There are various studies that show the number of trace minerals in the human body numbers as much as 102. However, some believe that this is actually 103. Regardless of where the number actually sits, it is popularly believed that Sea Moss holds a staggering 92 trace minerals that are found in the human body.

Easy To Make:

1) Rinse very well with clean filtered water

2) Soak overnight in clean filtered water,  ensure all Sea Moss is covered with water

3) Drain, place in a good blender with filtered water and blend until you can pour into a glass jar. (You can fortify your blend at this time with any superfood powders too)

4) Place in fridge where it will become a Sea Moss gel.

5) We use a heaped tablespoon per person in our daily smoothies, or add to soups, porridge, casseroles etc

Ohhhhh......Sea Moss gel also makes a wonderful face mask, for a once a week boost to the skin.
